Description
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door convertible had refurbishment and modification work completed in 2025. The car is powered by a Blueprint 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine linked with a TCI 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a 9" rear end with a limited-slip differential, and other work included refinishing the body in red over brown leather upholstery. Equipment includes a power-operated brown convertible top, a four-link rear suspension, tubular upper and lower control arms, a front sway bar, adjustable coilovers, 2" drop spindles, Intro 19 and 20" wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, an 8" touchscreen Bluetooth stereo, cruise control, power windows, and later model front bucket seats.
The car is refinished in red with replacement chrome trim and features a replacement power-operated brown convertible top, twin wind splits, halo headlights with color rings, custom brake light lenses, dual chrome mirrors, back-up lights, dual exhaust outlets, a fuel filler concealed above the left taillight, and chrome bumpers and trim. There are no windshield wipers and there is a paint chip near the right door edge.
The Intro 19 and 20" wheels are mounted with 245/35 front and 275/35 rear Toyo Proxes 4Plus tires. Suspension includes a four-link rear, tubular upper and lower control arms, a front sway bar, adjustable coilovers, and 2" drop spindles. The car is equipped with rack-and-pinion steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted discs at each corner.
The cabin features later model front bucket seats and individual rear seats upholstered in brown leather, and they are accompanied by a matching center console and door panels. Interior appointments include a body-color dashboard, a B&M shifter, an 8" touchscreen Bluetooth stereo, aftermarket speakers, cruise control, power windows, and vent windows. The trunk is lined with Dynamat insulation, and it houses the battery. The heater is disconnected.
The custom wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and sits ahead of aftermarket gauges.
The Blueprint LS-style 6.2-liter V8 was installed in 2024 and sits ahead of a smoothed firewall. Features include an aluminum engine block, Blueprint LS3-style cylinder heads, Hedman Hussler exhaust headers, an aftermarket ECU, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric cooling fans. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TCI 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a Currie 9" rear end with a limited-slip differential and 3.73:1 gearing. A coating has been applied to the underside, and the frame has been wrapped and reinforced. The fuel tank was replaced.
