Description
This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad features a custom build completed in 2022 that includes a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 paired with a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a Currie 9" rear end. The body is finished in charcoal gray and pale yellow, and the interior is customized with brown leather upholstery, a fabricated center console, square-weave carpeting, Vintage Air climate control, and Classic Instruments gauges.
The exterior features hooded headlights, chrome bumpers and trim, tinted glass, and a fuel filler concealed above the left taillight housing. The car rides on 17" front and 18" rear Coys alloy wheels wrapped in 235/45 and 275/40 Sumitomo HTRZ tires. Suspension components include tubular front control arms and adjustable front coilovers, and portions of the frame are boxed. Braking is handled by four-wheel disc brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder and calipers.
The interior features custom brown leather upholstery on the front and rear bench seats and the door panels, complemented by gray square-weave carpeting. A custom center console with cup holders sits ahead of the front bench, and additional equipment includes an AM radio and a Vintage Air climate control system. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a Classic Instruments cluster with a 140-mph speedometer, tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature.
The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 is paired with an aluminum radiator, dual electric fans, and a fabricated air intake assembly. Coated exhaust headers feed into a dual exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a Currie 9" rear end.
